I have been practicing yoga for more than 15 years now. In 2010, I decided to delve more deeply into my personal practice by attending a teacher training program. I have completed my 200 hour training under Bobbie Ellis in Highland Park, NJ. She conducted her 200 hour program at Sakula Yoga in Metuchen.
My teaching style is classical Hatha Yoga, including a variety of poses -standing poses, sun and moon salutes, hip openers, back bends and more. I look at going deeper into each pose with focus on the alignment. I like to connect the breath by being grounded and moving in a way that brings awareness of every moment. My class has a little flow, but its not vinyasa. I also like to bring feelings into my teachings, guiding the student to become aware of how they feel and encourage them to look to their inner wisdom for guidance.
