Nicholas Shade is a multi-talented Nationally Certified Massage Therapist. His philosophy is to help his clients feel more relaxed, feel energized, lighter, and free of pain. He helps people to have a better awareness of their bodies and to get in touch with their feelings. A massage with Nick will help you to experience relief from muscle tension and emotional distress.
Nick graduated with honors from the Fairfax School of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork in 2002. There he excelled at his in depth studies of Swedish, Deep Tissue and Pregnancy Massage. He then continued his education with Craniosacral Therapy levels one and two through the Upledger Institute. He also furthered his studies with a certification in Hot Stone Massage.
In 2004, he found his true calling as an energy worker when he discovered Reiki. It was then that he discovered the Usui method of Reiki. After become a master of Usui Reiki, he found Jin Kaei Do Reiki. This style of Reiki goes much deeper into energy work, by use of meditiations for healing, practicums as well as chakra balancing. Nick incorporates the use of energy technquies into every massage he performs, which creates a deeply relaxing experience in syncticum with muscle relief.
In 2006, he furthered his massage therapy studies with certifications in Sports Massage and Reflexology. With a variety of technquies, he skillfully applies deep tissue and stretching variations that get to the core of muscular holding patterns, and can effectively release a variety of muscular ailments.
